Off the Fence has acquired international sales rights to Viviane D’Avilla’s documentary *Let Us Be*, which explores the lives of intersex people in India, Brazil and the United States. The film, which premiered at Raindance, will screen in Latin America at the Rio Film Festival, with sales beginning at Mipcom in October.

The documentary examines intersex people’s personal experiences, including discrimination, medical violence, identity and resilience, while presenting intersex lives beyond medical or social definitions. Subjects include Brazilian parliamentarian Carolina Iara and Indian community leader Aanandh Rajappan; the film was produced by Dona Rosa Films and Social Construct with Brazilian public funding and additional financial support.
