‘Nancy Drew’ Star Officially Joins CBS’ ‘Matlock’ Replacement Series in New Sneak Peek

CBS is giving its legal thriller *Cupertino* a special Sunday-night showcase as it fills the Thursday schedule gap left by *Matlock*’s delayed third season. Episode 5 introduces Kennedy McMann, known for *Nancy Drew*, as Celeste, an employee drawn into a case alleging wage and overtime abuse by an AI training company.

The episode also follows the law firm’s search for information about its AI client, Bo, and a tense encounter with a sword-wielding figure. Celeste has just been fired and asks the firm’s assistant, Christy, to help organise workers into a union. *Cupertino* has reached a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and drew 7.17 million viewers for its premiere when delayed viewing was included; CBS plans a night of programming around the series on 8 November, beginning with a new episode, “Harper”.
