Brooklyn synthpop trio Nation Of Language have shared "The Conversation", a previously unreleased track that serves as the B-side to their April cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Tougher Than The Rest", originally issued on a limited-edition 7". Frontman Ian Richard Devaney described it as a long-cherished song that had never found a home on an album, marking a notable release for fans of the band.

Devaney said the track had been "haunting" him for years and counts among his personal favourites, noting that its lyrics read more like a standalone poem than the group's usual work. He characterised it as a vignette about two people whose intertwined lives build towards a single pivotal conversation. The announcement accompanies an extensive run of 2026 tour dates across Europe, the UK, North America and South America, running from August through December, with support acts including Anika, Friko and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.
