Billboard · 3 hours ago

NBA YoungBoy, the Louisiana rapper also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again, has announced he is attempting to give up drugs and commit to six months of sobriety. He revealed the decision on Instagram Stories, saying he had flushed his remaining drugs down the toilet after being tempted to use, marking a notable public step given his previous acknowledgements of drug use affecting his image.

In the same posts, he teased a forthcoming album, telling followers to get ready and hinting that it would mark a turning point. He previously admitted in 2023 to briefly checking into rehab. Now based in South Korea, he has also recently suggested he has little interest in returning permanently to the US, hinted at eventual retirement with only one or two more albums planned, and confirmed his next record will be titled "All Dogs Go to Heaven."
