Chicago P.D., part of NBC's long-running One Chicago franchise, is set to arrive on Netflix for the first time on 1 August, but only for viewers outside the United States. The move gives international audiences a new way to access the police procedural, which follows Chicago's Intelligence Unit and has previously been available abroad via Prime Video. It reflects the broader trend of broadcast networks licensing older seasons of hit shows to multiple streaming platforms to widen their international reach.

It has not yet been confirmed which seasons will be added, though Netflix has historically rolled out earlier seasons of licensed shows in batches, meaning viewers may initially be able to follow the Intelligence Unit's story from its 2014 debut. Chicago P.D. sits alongside Chicago Fire and Chicago Med in Dick Wolf's One Chicago franchise, each with more than ten seasons, and continues to air new episodes on NBC and Peacock in the US.
