NCT 127 Hits ‘Kick It’ And ‘Piñata’ Medley on ‘AGT’: Watch
NCT 127 performed a two-song medley on America's Got Talent during the results show on Wednesday 19 August, bringing K-pop energy to the programme as it announced its first batch of semifinalists. The five-member line-up performed "Kick It" and their new single "Piñata", ahead of the release of their seventh studio album on Monday 24 August, marking their first full-length record in two years.
The album, titled BLINGY, contains nine tracks and is the group's first as a five-piece for now, with members Doyoung and Jungwoo currently completing military service. A "Comeback Live Party" is scheduled for 25 August, where the full album will be performed. Elsewhere on the AGT results show, rapper Luke Taleno, animal act Olivia Befus and laser dancers Royal Lasers advanced via public vote, joined by magic act Hundred Fingers, who became the first contestant in the show's history to receive two Golden Buzzers in one season.

NCT 127 is a South Korean boy band formed by the entertainment company SM Entertainment, known for its shifting line-up structure and blend of pop, hip-hop and electronic sounds. The group has built a large international fanbase over roughly a decade and regularly appears on major entertainment platforms as part of K-pop's growing presence in mainstream Western media.
America's Got Talent is a long-running US television talent competition where contestants of all kinds compete for a cash prize, with performances judged by a panel and, at points in the season, voted on by the public. Musical guests, including established stars, often perform during results shows to draw viewers as the field of competitors narrows towards the semifinals and finals.
This matters because it reflects how K-pop acts routinely use major US television slots to promote new music to a broad audience, and because NCT 127's line-up and release schedule have been affected by South Korea's mandatory military service, which requires able-bodied men to serve for a set period and periodically takes members away from group activities.
