Actress Charlotte Kirk and writer Neil Marshall are reuniting for psychological thriller The Spiral Down, their fifth collaboration. The film will be directed by Aaron Mirtes and is due to begin filming in Kentucky next month, adding another project to the pair’s recent run of genre films.

Kirk will play Mary Doyle, initially portrayed as the victim of a perfection-obsessed serial killer before being revealed as a violent psychiatric escapee. Marshall, Kirk and Karlos Ways are producing the privately financed film, with Kirk producing through Primal Empire Studios; further casting has yet to be announced.
