Netflix Comedy Series ‘I Suck at Girls’ Casts Anna Konkle, Taegen Burns and More
Netflix has expanded the cast of its upcoming comedy series "I Suck at Girls," adding Anna Konkle and Taegen Burns as series regulars, alongside Tory Kittles, Brianna Reed, J.J. Nolan and Paul Scheer in recurring roles. The show, based on Justin Halpern's autobiography of the same name, follows three awkward high-school sophomores navigating teenage romance and identity, and the casting news matters as another data point in Netflix's growing coming-of-age comedy slate.
The new arrivals join previously announced cast members Kayo Martin, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Laila Pruitt. Konkle, known for co-creating and starring in Hulu's Emmy-nominated "Pen15," brings recent credits including "Hacks" and "Murderbot," while Burns has appeared in the horror film "Imaginary" and TV series such as "Monarch." Trent O'Donnell will direct the first episode, with Halpern co-writing and co-showrunning alongside Patrick Schumacker; Bill Lawrence's Doozer Productions and Halpern and Schumacker's Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions are attached as executive producers, with Warner Bros. Television serving as studio.
