Netflix Is Officially Removing the Best Batman Movie Ever
Netflix is set to remove *Batman Begins* from its UK service on 7 November, ending its availability there alongside the other films in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The 2005 film rebooted the series after *Batman & Robin* failed with critics and audiences, and helped establish a more grounded approach to superhero films that influenced later Hollywood blockbusters.
Made on a reported budget of $150 million, *Batman Begins* earned $375 million worldwide and has an 85% “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne, with Cillian Murphy, Katie Holmes, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson and Michael Caine among the cast; the film also paved the way for *The Dark Knight*, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.
