Netflix Lands Another Sydney Sweeney Project Ahead of Live-Action ‘Gundam’
Netflix has acquired streaming rights to Sydney Sweeney's 2024 religious horror film "Immaculate," which will debut on the platform's US library on 13 August. The addition comes as Sweeney's profile continues to rise following the box-office success of her thriller "The Housemaid," reinforcing her position as one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors despite a mixed run of recent releases and past advertising controversies.
Directed by Michael Mohan, "Immaculate" originally arrived in cinemas on 22 March 2024, grossing $35 million against a modest $9 million budget. Its Netflix arrival is part of a broader wave of August additions to the streamer, including the first seven "Fast & Furious" films, "Holmes & Watson" and several "Chucky" instalments. Sweeney also has further high-profile projects lined up, including "The Housemaid's Secret" and the live-action "Gundam" film alongside Noah Centineo.
