Netflix’s Answer to ‘Slow Horses’ Officially Returns in 10 Days

Netflix’s espionage thriller *Black Doves* returns for a second season on 5 November, following the end of *Slow Horses*’ sixth season. The series offers viewers another story about covert operatives, though the article notes that its two-year gap between seasons could make it harder to retain its audience.

Created by Joe Barton, *Black Doves* stars Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw as operatives in a secret organisation, with Sarah Lancashire as their handler. Its first season premiered in December 2024 and has a 92% “Certified Fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes; new cast members for season two include Neve Campbell, Ambika Mod, Sam Riley and Babou Ceesay.
