Netflix’s ‘Cyberpunk’ Universe Is Officially Back With a New Release
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has arrived on Netflix, with all ten episodes available to stream after its 20 October premiere. The sequel moves beyond David Martinez’s story to follow new mercenaries in Night City, exploring themes of violence and redemption.
The story centres on Weak, a former cyberpunk legend trying to find his place in a changed world, and D, a nomad seeking revenge who encounters secrets powerful corporations want hidden. CD Projekt Red and animation studio TRIGGER made the series; Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, writer and producer. Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5, featuring content inspired by the sequel, arrived on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 22 October, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release to follow.
