Netflix’s Hit Fantasy Anime Officially Returns This Month With New Episodes
Netflix will resume its acclaimed anime adaptation of *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run* later this month, following a six-month gap since a double-length special first introduced the storyline. The return is one of several notable animated releases scheduled for Netflix in the coming weeks, but it stands out as the most eagerly awaited given the strong response to the first instalment.
The new episodes form the second stage of an eleven-episode run, with fresh instalments airing every Friday from 21 September and the next stage premiering on 25 September. The story continues Johnny Joestar's cross-country race, introducing new characters including Mountain Tim, Hot Pants and Funny Valentine as he and ally Gyro Zeppeli tackle a gruelling 750-mile desert crossing while competing for a $50 million prize. Netflix has committed to releasing all nine planned stages of the saga, though breaks between them are expected at the production team's request; the series has been very well received so far, holding a 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
