Netflix’s New ‘Carrie’ Replacement Officially arrives in 1 Month
Netflix will release *The Body*, an eight-episode psychological horror series, on 11 November 2026. Its story of Catholic schoolgirls whose visions spark a frenzy offers another unsettling teen drama for viewers following *Carrie*, which recently topped global charts.
Created and showrun by Quinn Shephard, the series stars Kristina Bogic and Sara Boustany as Anya and Elise, alongside Sofia Wylie, Geena Meszaros, Shirley Chen and Gabby Windey. A drug-fuelled initiation may summon the devil to the girls’ town. Shephard has cited *Carrie*, *Jennifer’s Body*, *Heavenly Creatures*, *Mean Girls* and *The Crucible* as influences, and said the series also draws on her teenage experiences, including growing up queer and repressed.
