Netflix’s Straw Hat Pirates Are Officially Setting Sail for a New ‘One Piece’ Special [Exclusive]
Netflix has confirmed the full cast of its live-action "One Piece" series will return to voice a new LEGO-themed animated special, exclusively revealed by Collider. The two-part project retells the story of Season 1 and Season 2 of the live-action adaptation using LEGO bricks, offering both a lighter entry point for newcomers and a nostalgic recap for existing fans, and marks the latest expansion of Netflix's growing "One Piece" franchise.
Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar will reprise their Straw Hat roles, joined by Mikaela Hoover as Chopper and supporting cast members Katey Sagal, Jeff Ward, Charithra Chandran and Callum Kerr. Usopp narrates the retelling, bringing Chopper up to speed on the crew's history, covering events from the formation of the crew through to the Arlong Pirates and Baroque Works storylines. The special was first teased by Netflix in April alongside other "One Piece" projects, including a new anime remake and a third season of the live-action series.
