Apple TV has released the first teaser for "Neuromancer," a ten-episode drama adaptation of William Gibson's seminal 1984 cyberpunk novel, confirming Callum Turner as lead character Case, a burnt-out hacker drawn into corporate espionage and crime. The project, created by Graham Roland and JD Dillard, who directs the pilot, marks a long-awaited screen version of a novel that shaped the cyberpunk genre and influenced decades of subsequent science fiction. Turner is joined by Briana Middleton as his partner Molly, an assassin known as a "razor-girl," as the pair attempt to pull off a heist against a secretive corporate dynasty.
The series, greenlit in early 2024, features a supporting cast including Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard and Clémence Poésy, and is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content. Gibson's original novel won the Hugo, Nebula and Philip K. Dick awards and launched the Sprawl trilogy, including "Count Zero," "Mona Lisa Overdrive" and "Burning Chrome." Following the teaser's release, Apple has now confirmed the show will premiere on 22 January 2027, with new episodes airing weekly through to 19 March 2027.

Apple TV has commissioned a television adaptation of William Gibson's 1984 novel Neuromancer, a foundational work of cyberpunk fiction that helped shape how science fiction imagines hacking, artificial intelligence and corporate power. The story follows Case, a hacker drawn into a job involving digital crime and corporate espionage, alongside an assassin partner.
