Firekeeper Alliance, a suicide-prevention organisation, has released a short film made in collaboration with veteran sludge/post-metal band Neurosis, blending their music with storytelling from young voices of the Blackfeet Nation. The project pairs professional filmmakers with students from Browning Public Schools, aiming to reduce suicide by promoting connection and community as protective factors, and reflects the growing use of music and youth-led storytelling in mental health advocacy.

The film, directed by Jason Nix and Bobby Cochran, is scored with two tracks from Neurosis's 2026 album "An Undying Love For A Burning World" and follows four young people from Browning who confront a malevolent spirit, played by Sim Schildt, ultimately finding strength through unity rather than facing it alone. Four Browning students worked throughout production as actors and crew, while Firekeeper Alliance founder Charlie Speicher and Neurosis's Steve Von Till both spoke of the collaboration as embodying hope and resilience. The release follows Neurosis's surprise comeback album in March, their first in a decade, which was widely praised and accompanied by the announcement of their first live show in seven years.
