New ARCH ENEMY Singer LAUREN HART: Joining The Band Was ‘A Dream Come True For Me And The Start Of A New Future’

Lauren Hart, the new vocalist for Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, has spoken about her first show fronting the group and the warm reception she has received from fans since joining. Speaking to Germany's Metal Hammer magazine, Hart described stepping into the role as fulfilling a childhood dream, having grown up admiring the band's earlier work, and said the transition has been far smoother and more welcoming than she had anticipated.

Hart made her live debut with Arch Enemy on 27 March 2026 in Beijing, recalling the experience as overwhelming but euphoric, aided by an enthusiastic crowd response. She also discussed first discovering the band through their 2001 album "Wages Of Sin". Guitarist and founder Michael Amott explained that the February single "To The Last Breath" was chosen to introduce Hart to fans because it was aggressive, melodic and strong enough to showcase the band's new direction, noting the song was assembled from unreleased material and that Hart recorded her vocals remotely in the United States before the pair had even met in person. Amott added that while a full album is not yet complete, new material is expected after the summer, with Arch Enemy currently touring Europe.
