Explained simply

The Beatles were a British band whose success in the 1960s brought intense public attention, known as Beatlemania. Their tours and recording sessions took them around the world, while newspapers and fans followed their lives closely.

George Harrison was the band’s lead guitarist. He also took photographs with a Pentax camera between 1963 and 1970, capturing bandmates both at work and in private moments. Images made by one of the musicians offer a different record of the group’s life during those years.
