Lionsgate is developing a new Leprechaun horror film, with veteran genre writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan attached to write and Oren and Miles Koules producing. The project signals another attempt to revive the long-running cult horror-comedy franchise, though its plot and release plans have not been disclosed.

The franchise has produced eight films between 1993 and 2018, originally featuring Warwick Davis as the murderous leprechaun in six instalments; Jennifer Aniston also appeared in the 1993 original. Oren Koules previously produced all 10 Saw films, which earned more than $1 billion worldwide, while Lionsgate had separately announced a Leprechaun revival in 2024 with Felipe Vargas set to direct.
