New Lies of P documentary teases next game “is going to be really fun and emotionally moving”

Eurogamer · 2 hours ago

Neowiz has released a short documentary spotlighting Nough, the internal Round8 Studio team behind Souls-like hit Lies of P, offering a rare look at its perfectionist "games by gamers" development culture. The film also includes a tease from director Choi Jiwon about the studio's next unannounced project, describing it as something that will be "really fun and emotionally moving," fuelling anticipation as Neowiz continues to build out the Lies of P franchise.

The studio's name, Nough, is derived from "not enough" (minus the "e"), reflecting a philosophy of continuously refining games until every team member is satisfied. The documentary highlights collective playtesting sessions in which the whole development team, including Choi, plays through builds together to validate design choices. Choi asked fans to "wait a little longer" for details on the next project, promising it won't disappoint. Eurogamer notes Neowiz's clear intent to grow Lies of P into a lasting franchise, with a previously announced sequel recently confirmed to have reached the "vertical slice" development stage.
