New ‘Sesame Street’ Film In Works, More ‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’, ‘Bad Dinosaurs’ In Netflix’s Kids Slate
Netflix has unveiled a new slate of preschool and children’s programming, including a Sesame Street film in development with Rideback and Sesame Workshop. The announcement also extends Netflix’s Sesame Street series deal through Season 62 and expands the popular Gabby’s Dollhouse franchise.
The Sesame Street film has no disclosed plot or release date and would be the franchise’s first feature since 1999. Other additions include Doozie’s Doghouse, Gabby’s Dollhouse: Makers and Bakers, Puppy Pirates, and new episodes of Mecha Builders; Bad Dinosaurs has also been renewed for two more seasons. Three Netflix Playground games are due to launch in late September and October.
