Wizards of the Coast has cancelled the Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Beginner Box in every region, just two months before its planned release. The company cited production, logistics and shipping delays, removing a product intended to introduce Star Trek fans to Magic’s rules and provide an accessible entry point to the crossover.

Customers who pre-ordered must contact their retailer, as no universal refund process has been announced. The cancellation also affects planned events, including MagicCon: Atlanta, but Wizards says other Star Trek products remain on schedule; it has not explained why the Beginner Box could not simply be delayed or whether a replacement will be produced.
