New Wave Of British Heavy Metal Legends TANK To Release Deluxe Edition Of ‘Filth Hounds Of Hades’ In August
NWOBHM pioneers TANK are releasing a deluxe reissue of their 1982 debut album "Filth Hounds Of Hades" on 14 August, via Cleopatra Records, the first in a planned series of reissues from the band's catalogue. Formed by Algy Ward (previously of The Saints and The Damned) alongside brothers Mark and Peter Brabbs, TANK were dubbed Motörhead's "baby brothers" by the UK press, and the original album, produced by Motörhead guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke, was hailed at the time as a landmark of the breakneck, high-energy NWOBHM sound.
The expanded two-disc edition adds the band's earliest demo (also overseen by Clarke), alternate versions and non-album tracks from their first two singles, a John Peel radio session from March 1982, and eight live tracks recorded in Dortmund, Germany during TANK's first European tour. It is being trailed by a new video for "Turn Your Head Around" and will be released on both CD and vinyl, featuring the original album alongside bonus material including the classic track "Blood, Guts And Beer".
