New Xbox Hardware Release Price Leak Reveals Most Expensive Xbox Yet
Microsoft's translucent green Xbox Series X25, released to mark the console brand's 25th anniversary, has reportedly leaked with a price tag that would make it the most expensive Xbox to date. According to French deals site Dealabs leaker billbil-kun, the special edition console will cost £/€899.99 (around $899.99 in the US), which is £100/$100 more than the standard Xbox Series X after its recent price rise. The premium pricing puts the anniversary model on par with Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro following its own increases earlier in the year, underlining how console hardware costs have crept upward across the industry.
Microsoft first unveiled the Xbox Series X25 in June at the Xbox Games Showcase without confirming pricing or a firm release date, but the new leak points to a launch on 27 November, coinciding with Black Friday; preorder timing has not yet been announced. The console retains the specs of the standard Xbox Series X, including 1TB of storage, but is styled with a nod to the original Xbox's design. It comes bundled with a matching green controller, reportedly priced separately at $79.99, featuring the classic Xbox colour scheme on its buttons and a black-and-white bumper design.
