NewJeans Celebrate Fourth Anniversary With New Special Film Series Following Reunion as a Quartet

Billboard · 4 hours ago

NewJeans have marked their fourth anniversary with a new commemorative film series, "2026 Summer of NewJeans," released as the group reunites as a quartet following a turbulent two years. Unveiled on 21 July, the release features members Minji, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein and comes just weeks after Minji's return to the group was confirmed, ending prolonged uncertainty over the K-pop act's future.

The series comprises four individual films focused on each member's daily life plus one group film, with white fur and rabbit imagery running throughout as a tribute to the group's fandom, known as Bunnies. Agency ADOR said the project reflected the members' shared wish to celebrate the anniversary with fans. The reunion follows the original five-member lineup's attempt to leave ADOR in late 2024 and perform independently as NJZ, which was blocked by a court in 2025; Hanni, Haerin and Hyein subsequently agreed to return, while Danielle's contract with ADOR was terminated and she does not feature in the new project.
