Cage the Elephant, the Grammy-winning rock band, has been announced as the headline act for the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Munich Game, which will see the New England Patriots take on the Detroit Lions on 15 November. The booking continues the NFL's push to make its international fixtures major entertainment events in their own right, with the league citing Munich's reputation for delivering some of the most passionate atmospheres of any overseas game.

The band, two-time Grammy winners with more than 10 billion streams and 13 number-one records to their name, recently supported Oasis on their reunion tour across the US. Frontman Matt Shultz said the group intended to bring their usual live energy to the one-off stadium slot, while NFL executive Tim Tubito pointed to Germany's rock heritage as a natural fit. The performance at the FC Bayern Munich Arena will be broadcast in Germany on RTL and Sky Sport, forming part of a record seven international halftime shows this season, alongside the Jonas Brothers in Melbourne, Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin in Rio de Janeiro, Ayra Starr in London, and The Warning in Mexico City.
