Niall Horan and Thomas Rhett performed a surprise duet of Ella Langley's chart-topping single "Choosin' Texas" at GEODIS Park in Nashville on Thursday 9 July 2026, one of two co-headlining summer stadium shows the longtime friends are staging together. The one-off cover, captured by fans on social media, formed part of a joint encore that showcased the pair's easy chemistry as they blend Horan's pop-rock background with Rhett's country roots.

Alongside "Choosin' Texas" — which had by then spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the two also performed the One Direction hit "Steal My Girl", Horan's solo track "Heaven", Rhett's "Die a Happy Man", and "Old Tricks", on which Horan filled in for Blake Shelton (the pair recorded their own version for a deluxe edition of About a Woman). Both stars played full solo sets and shared clips of the night on Instagram. Rhett, who has called "Steal My Girl" his favourite One Direction song, noted the two have been friends for nearly a decade but had never toured together; their remaining joint date is at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on 18 July.
