Jonas explained that when casting staff asked what he planned to sing, he had no answer and no music prepared, forcing him to pick a musical theatre song on the spot, a performance he later called "terrible". The role ultimately went to Jonathan Groff, and Frozen went on to spend 13 weeks atop the Billboard 200 with its soundtrack, while "Let It Go" peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100 in 2014.
