Nicki Minaj is fighting to be personally dismissed from a lawsuit brought by concert production company 24/7 Productions, which claims she owes $275,000 for expenses tied to her 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball performances and promotion of her album Pink Friday 2. In a filing submitted on 14 July, her lawyers argue that the contract in question was with her company, Pink Friday Productions, and that she should not be held personally liable, branding the claim an "ill-advised attempt to sue a famous deep-pocket."

The lawsuit, filed in March, alleges 24/7 Productions spent two years unsuccessfully trying to recover the money, receiving only vague assurances from Minaj's team. As well as breach of contract, the suit accuses her of "unjust enrichment" as the alleged sole economic beneficiary of Pink Friday, a claim her attorneys dismiss as "fanciful and baseless" and legally unsound given her corporate role. This is the latest in a string of debt-related legal troubles for the rapper, following a $500,000 payout to a concert security guard earlier this year and a fresh lawsuit last week over $230,000 in unpaid legal fees.
