Nicolas Cage stars as a criminal known as The S.O.B. in *Best Pancakes in the County*, a crime thriller set during one tense night at a small-town diner. Its trailer sets a fight over damaging CIA information alongside jokes about the diner’s pancakes, giving the story an absurd edge as well as action.

After a botched heist, Cage’s character returns to the diner with a hard drive that could be valuable to those who survive the night. Justin Long, Shelley Hennig, Lauren German, Ravi Patel and others feature in the cast; Hennig plays a waitress with secrets, while rogue federal agents and shifting loyalties complicate the standoff. The film is due in select cinemas and on digital platforms on 20 November.
