Nigel Farage crony makes ‘Nigerian scammer’ jibe at Kemi, just days after Reform’s councillors were caught on camera making racist remarks
The Conservatives have accused Nigel Farage’s close associate Raheem Kassam of making racist remarks about Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, including calling her a “Nigerian scammer”. They want Farage to clarify Kassam’s role in Reform UK, as the row adds to scrutiny of the party’s response to racism allegations.
Kassam, a former Ukip chief of staff to Farage, has no formal Reform role, the party says, though he was recently at its London headquarters. He denied wrongdoing and called Badenoch a liar. The dispute follows an undercover ITV report in which Reform councillors and candidates were recorded making racist remarks; Reform said there was no room for racism in the party.
