NIGEL FARAGE: Polanski MUST face consequences for his appalling guillotine tweet about me. Ann’s murder shows the risk of violence is all too real

Daily Mail · 2 hours ago

Nigel Farage has reported Green Party leader Zack Polanski to the Metropolitan Police and the London Assembly after Polanski shared, then deleted, an Instagram post referencing a guillotine and Farage. Farage argues the incident reflects a double standard in how threats against right-wing politicians are treated, and warns it comes only weeks after the murder of his Reform UK colleague Ann Widdecombe, which he says shows the real risk posed by political hostility.

The post, shared with Polanski's 700,000 Instagram followers, showed a Green activist wearing a T-shirt depicting a man beside a guillotine with the caption "We're only making plans for Nigel", taken at a Green Party conference. Farage says Polanski removed the post after criticism but issued no apology, and contrasts this with what he says would have been swift condemnation and police action had a Reform figure done the same. He links the row to the recent killing of Ann Widdecombe, Reform's justice and immigration spokesperson, at her Devon home, which he says police initially and wrongly suggested was a burglary gone wrong.
