Nintendo and The Pokémon Company say Pokémon Pokopia has sold more than five million copies worldwide in just over four months, making it one of the Nintendo Switch 2’s biggest games so far. The figure suggests the Pokémon spin-off has reached roughly a quarter of Switch 2 owners, underlining the franchise’s commercial strength and the importance of the title to the young console’s software line-up.

Sales include physical and digital editions, while Nintendo had sold more than 20 million Switch 2 consoles by May 2026. Pokopia has outsold the Switch 2 edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which sold 3.99 million units, though only Mario Kart World has sold more on the system at 15.39 million copies; recent demand may have been helped by the newly released paid “Bubbly Basin” expansion.
