Nintendo Confirms Exactly How Much More Switch 2 Will Soon Cost in The UK

IGN · 4 hours ago

Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 console will rise in price in the UK from 1 September, following similar increases already announced or applied in the US, Canada, mainland Europe and Japan. The console will go up from £395.99 to £419.99, an increase of £24, giving UK buyers a short window to purchase at the current price before the change takes effect.

The UK rise is proportionally smaller than in the US, where the price climbs by $50 to $499.99, and Canada, where it also rises by $50 to $679.99; in the Eurozone the console will cost €30 more, reaching €499.99. Nintendo first flagged the price increase in May, citing "market conditions" and the "global business outlook," joining PlayStation, Xbox and Valve in raising hardware prices amid rising shipping, tariff and component costs. The rise comes ahead of a busy Switch 2 release schedule, including Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave in September, Switch Sports Resort in October, and a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake later this year.
