Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2's UK price will rise from £395.99 to £419.99 from 1st September 2026, following its May announcement of price increases across multiple regions. The move brings the UK in line with previously flagged hikes elsewhere, ending uncertainty over how much the console would cost British buyers specifically.

The £24 increase is smaller proportionally than rises in other territories, including a £/€ equivalent increase of £30 (€30) in Europe and Ireland, $50 in the US and Canada, and ¥10,000 in Japan. Commentators note the new price remains competitive against rivals such as the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam Deck, though crossing the £400 mark could still affect consumer sentiment. Nintendo had signalled these changes back in May, giving buyers a lead time before the rise takes effect.
