Explained simply
Nintendo is a Japanese video game company whose Switch consoles let players use games bought as downloads from the eShop, as well as physical cartridges. Nintendo’s regular Download updates list new digital releases for particular regions; prices and availability can differ elsewhere.
The games in this week’s North American list come from several publishers and cover different styles of play, including a two-player space adventure, basketball and action combat. NBA 2K27 is part of a long-running basketball series, while Onimusha: Way of the Sword belongs to a Japanese action series; other titles include a shopkeeping adventure and a re-release of Taito’s 1988 arcade game Bubble Bobble.
The list also includes editions for Nintendo Switch 2, the newer console in Nintendo’s Switch family. Such release round-ups help players see what is available to download and compare games across genres and prices.
