Nintendo will add Super Mario Sunshine to the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics catalogue on Switch 2 on 13 August 2026. The release broadens the GameCube selection available through Nintendo Switch Online and gives subscribers another way to play the 2002 platformer after the Switch’s Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection was delisted.

Players will need an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription to access the game. Super Mario Sunshine follows Mario as he cleans pollution from Isle Delfino using the FLUDD water-pack device, and Nintendo’s announcement came alongside confirmation that two previously cancelled games will join its Virtual Boy library next week.
