Nintendo has added the original Wario Land to its Switch Online subscription service, completing most of the classic platformer series on the platform. The move is notable because nearly every other game in the Wario Land lineage was already available to subscribers, leaving the debut entry as a conspicuous gap until now.

The first Wario Land title originally launched on the Game Boy and marked Wario's first outing as a playable protagonist rather than a Mario antagonist.
