Nirva has raised a further $25 million to develop a wearable pendant that listens for its owner’s speech and offers personal insights through a companion app. The funding brings the 2025-founded startup’s total raised to $33 million, as interest grows in ambient AI devices and questions about their privacy.
The pendant can also be worn as a bracelet, weighs about eight grams and is designed for up to three days of battery life. Nirva says users provide voice samples during setup so its system can distinguish their speech from nearby conversations, and that it discards audio and transcripts after processing. The app offers inferred observations about emotions, communication and daily patterns, alongside reminders; orders are due to open in November, with early shipments planned.
