NITA STRAUSS And JOSH VILLALTA Rock LOS ANGELES RAMS Halftime Show For ‘Salute To Service’
Guitarist Nita Strauss and drummer Josh Villalta performed a rock medley at the Los Angeles Rams’ halftime show on Sunday, as part of the NFL’s “Salute To Service” tribute to US military personnel. The performance brought their established game-day partnership to a high-profile occasion and also marked their son Maxwell’s first Rams game.
Strauss has been the Rams’ official guitarist for seven seasons and received a Super Bowl ring after the team won Super Bowl LVI; Villalta joined the team’s entertainment line-up in 2026 after performing with her for two years. Their set at SoFi Stadium, during the Rams’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers, included music by Metallica, Godsmack, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters and Queen, alongside the “Top Gun” theme and “Danger Zone”. Godsmack’s “Awake” has also been used in military recruitment advertising.
