Sony has clarified that a planned re-release of Quantic Dream's PS2 crime thriller Indigo Prophecy (known as Fahrenheit in Europe) will not, in fact, arrive on PS5 as originally suggested. Despite earlier PlayStation Blog wording implying the game would be rebuilt using Sony's new emulator with native PS5 support, the version going live is actually the existing 2016 PS4 release, meaning it lacks new trophies and the quality-of-life features fans had been expecting.

The mix-up leaves this month's PS Plus Premium classics lineup with effectively only one genuinely new addition, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, disappointing players who had hoped to revisit Indigo Prophecy's acclaimed opening chapters with modern enhancements such as rewind, save states, CRT filters and region selection. The game, from Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream, remains available on PS Plus Premium from 21st July, but as the unchanged PS4 version rather than a true PS5 native release.
