Cameron Norrie reached the Los Cabos Open semi-finals after beating Australia’s Bernard Tomic 6-1 6-0 in just 50 minutes. The result extends a marked turnaround for the British number two, who had arrived in Mexico on a six-match losing streak and had not won since April.

Fifth seed Norrie won 12 consecutive games after Tomic held serve in the opening game, and will now face defending champion Denis Shapovalov. He has won all three matches in Los Cabos in straight sets, saying renewed confidence and a simpler approach have helped after a difficult period that included overtraining before the French Open.
