Northampton Saints and Bath are English rugby union clubs in the Premiership, the country’s top domestic league. Teams score five points for a try, with extra points available for kicks after tries and for penalties.

The clubs have both been among the league’s leading sides in recent seasons. A match’s result can affect their position in the table, while a defeat also ends a team’s unbeaten run; high scores can draw attention to how attacking play and defence shape the contest.
