Nothing But Thieves Share Slick New Track ‘Baby Kool (Evelyn)’
Nothing But Thieves have released a new single, 'Baby Kool (Evelyn)', the latest preview of their forthcoming album 'Stray Dogs'. The track marks a stylistic shift for the band, blending glam and grunge influences with alt-rock and emo touches, and is accompanied by a quirky music video. It matters as another building block in the rollout of their new record, showcasing a playful, tongue-in-cheek side alongside frontman Conor Mason's vocal performance.
The song was described by the band as a return to the garage where they started, deliberately combining glam and grunge despite the genres not naturally sitting together. Its video features a dog and a new alien character. 'Stray Dogs' is due for release on 5 September, following previous preview track 'Evolution'.
