British AI cloud provider Nscale is acquiring Anyscale, a software company that helps organisations scale AI workloads across data centres and servers. The deal would extend Nscale’s operations from energy, data centres and orchestration into workload management, supporting its effort to capture more of customers’ AI infrastructure spending through a more integrated offering.

Nscale is reportedly paying $1.65 billion for Anyscale, whose platform is built around the open-source Ray distributed-computing framework and supports LLM training and serving, inference, data curation and reinforcement learning. Nscale raised $2 billion at a $14.6 billion valuation in March, while Anyscale said quarterly revenue grew 70% sequentially; Anyscale will retain its brand, existing customers and roughly 200 staff, all of whom will join Nscale.
