Oasis have seemingly confirmed a homecoming residency at Manchester's Etihad Stadium for their rumoured 2027 tour, after a large-scale drone display lit up the skyline above the stadium on the evening of Thursday 10 September. The spectacle points fans towards a formal tour announcement at 4pm BST on Monday 14 September, giving a concrete date for details on venues, dates and tickets for the follow-up to the band's Live '25 reunion trek.

The display was created by Microdot, the design studio behind Oasis's logo, and showed the emblem morphing first into "4PM BST" and then the date "14.09.26"; Oasis later shared an official video of the scene set to their 2008 track 'The Shock Of The Lightning'. It follows a similar Heaton Park display last year and recent teaser clips for other prospective 2027 stops including Glasgow, Paris, Amsterdam and Rome, amid reports of a possible 12-night Etihad residency and a Knebworth return; the news also lands days after the release of Oasis's new documentary, Don't Look Back In Anger, which premiered to an eight-minute standing ovation at Venice and marked Liam and Noel Gallagher's first joint off-stage appearance since the reunion tour.
