‘Obsession’ Director Officially Returns to Horror With a ‘Breaking Bad’ Star
Curry Barker, director of the blockbuster horror film Obsession, has officially announced his next project following the film's unprecedented commercial and critical success. Anything But Ghosts, a horror buddy comedy, will be released on 7 May 2027 and marks Barker's transition into acting as well as directing, drawing on his background in YouTube sketch comedy.
Anything But Ghosts features a cast including Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Violet McGraw, alongside longtime collaborator Cooper Tomlinson. The film follows fake paranormal investigators who encounter genuinely supernatural phenomena, with Focus Features owning worldwide rights and Universal Pictures International handling international distribution. The project is produced by Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Jason Blum, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath.
