A television series based on the Odysseus myth is in development as a collaborative production between Greek distributor Tanweer and American production companies Tectonic and USATV. The project capitalizes on strong critical reception for Christopher Nolan's recent film adaptation of The Odyssey, tapping into renewed audience interest in the legendary narrative.

The creative team, led by Stranger Things executive producer Karl Gajdusek as showrunner, intends to ground the epic story in historical Bronze Age authenticity rather than mythological spectacle. Director Roel Reiné, experienced with historical dramas and prestige productions including Halo and Black Sails, will oversee the series. Filming is planned for early 2027 across locations in Greece and Armenia, with producers expressing ambitions to eventually develop the property into a broader fictional universe.
