Off Campus star collaboration ‘gave me chills’, says Babydoll singer

BBC Entertainment ·

Welsh singer Jamie Miller says the success of “Babydoll” and his collaboration with actor Antonio Cipriano have transformed a period when he was close to leaving music. The pair recorded the song together after Cipriano, who stars in the series “Off Campus”, responded to Miller’s message, and Miller says performing with a new friend made their first arena shows especially meaningful.

Miller, 29, was considering giving music one last try in 2026 because of financial and personal pressures. A social media dance helped “Babydoll” take off: it reached the US iTunes pop chart’s top spot and entered the UK top ten; on Friday, the original version rose to number two, behind Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero”. Miller previously came third on “The Voice UK” and recently supported the Jonas Brothers on their US tour.
